Could Your Next Search Land You a Job at Google?

Three months ago, Max Rosett, who was then pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, Googled “python lambda function list comprehension.” In addition to his search results, Rosett got a black box that said, “You’re speaking our language. Up for a challenge?”

Clicking through landed him on a page called “foo.bar” that offered him a series of programming challenges. After he solved six, he got a call from a Google recruiter. Two weeks later, he went to work at Google.
