The Linux Foundation announced today that Collabora Ltd. has become a member and will participate in the MeeGo project.

“We’re excited to join the Linux Foundation,” Collabora Director and Co-found Philippe Kalaf said, “so that we can participate directly in upstream development of the MeeGo platform, attend online and face-to-face meetings and do what we can to invest in the project’s success.”

Collabora is a global group of open source software consultants who also write code and contribute to a variety of open source projects.

MeeGo is one of the many projects that benefit from Collabora’s contributions,” Linux Foundation Vice President of Marketing and Developer programs Amanda McPherson said. “We’re excited to have such a veteran group of open source experts join the Linux Foundation and collaborate on important projects such as MeeGo.”
