Pivotal has announced that it will add a serverless computing option to its Cloud Foundry cloud development platform. Few details about the serverless offering are known so far, but the company has said that it will support Kubernetes, Java, Node.js and messaging systems like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. The company also said it will be based on open source technology.
The Cloud Foundry serverless platform is scheduled for release in early 2018.
