Chrome Web Store Adds Paid Extensions, Free Trials for Packaged Apps

Google has revamped its Chrome Web Store with several new features. Developers now have the option of selling paid extensions and themes through the store, and they can also offer free trials or in-app payments for packaged apps (Web apps that can run offline).

The company also made app management easier for developers by adding an easy-to-use dashboard interface. In addition, it added features to the Chrome Web Store API that simplify and automate the app publishing process.
