Glyn Moody takes a look at open source software’s ability to survive in a post-PC world.
Moody is quick to point out that we may not be in a post-PC era, and one may never come, but if it’s here, or coming, can open source remain relevant?
He said that unless open source developers can get more apps out on iPhone and Android then their closed source compatriots, the open source community runs the risk of being “marginalised in what may well turn out to be a key facet of computing in the future.”
