AWS, Microsoft Partner on Gluon Machine Learning Library

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft are working together on a new open source deep learning library called Gluon. It aims to simplify the process of building, training and deploying applications that use machine learning. “Today’s reality is that building and training machine learning models requires a great deal of heavy lifting and specialized expertise,” said Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of Amazon AI. “We created the Gluon interface so building neural networks and training models can be as easy as building an app.”

Gluon will support Apache MXNet and Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit. A reference specification is available on GitHub.
