How much is your mobile app really worth? That question can be difficult to answer, but Apptopia has a new tool that attempts to put a price on the code developers have spent hours slaving over. MyAppValue uses a proprietary algorithm to predict an app’s earnings over time and assign a valuation. “Most of them think that it’s worth more than it is,” noted Apptopia’s Yoni Zvik.
Apptopia also offers a marketplace for the mobile development industry–connecting buyers and sellers in exchange for 8 percent of the app purchase price. In addition, it offers recommendations for improving the value of your app.
MyAppValue will be free for at least six months, but Apptopia may later charge a fee for the service.
