Just two months after open sourcing its Swift programming language, Apple is now also open sourcing its Swift Benchmarking Suite. The tools allow mobile development firms and people working on Swift itself to track the performance of various versions of the language.
A post related to the release notes, “Contributors to the Swift project are encouraged to run Swift’s benchmark suite against their changes before requesting pull requests in order to catch potential performance regressions.”
The Swift Benchmarking Suite is available on GitHub.
