At an event on Monday, Apple revealed more details about its forthcoming Apple Watch, including pricing and availability. Preorders for the wearable will begin April 10, and devices will start shipping to customers on April 24. Apple Watch comes in three collections: Apple Watch Sport with prices starting at $349, the regular App Watch with prices starting at $549 and Apple Watch Edition with prices between $10,000 and $17,0000.

Apple says that users can expect their batteries to last around 18 hours with normal use, which some critics have said is insufficient. Also, in order to be truly useful, Apple Watch must be paired with an iPhone, which has led to more criticism.

Watch apps will be sold through a special section of the App Store. At the event, Apple mentioned 44 Watch apps created by third-party mobile development firm, and it is likely that many more will soon be available.
