During its second quarter earnings call, Apple revealed that it has now paid out $9 billion to developers and it is on track to pay devs $1 billion every quarter. Since Apple takes a 30 percent cut of sales, that means the company has seen about $3.9 billion in revenue from the App Store. The App Store and iTunes together brought in $4 billion in revenue for the quarter.
In addition, the company revealed that the App Store has now served more than 45 billion downloads. And iCloud now has 300 million users, up 50 million from last quarter.
