Apple has announced that all App Store apps — including those in testing — must have a privacy policy by October 3, 2018. If not, apps could be kicked out of the store. It’s unclear if Apple will be analyzing the contents of the privacy policies when deciding whether or not to accept apps into the App Store.
Analysts say the change is likely a response to Europe’s GDPR regulation, which holds platforms partially responsible for privacy violations committed by third-parties using their platforms.
