For several years, stories about mobile patent lawsuits have been a mainstay in the headlines, but a new agreement between Apple and Google may signal that the industry’s most litigious days are coming to an end. Apple and Google’s Motorola Mobility have announced plans to settle all their ongoing patent cases against each other. A joint statement added, “Apple and Google have also agreed to work together in some areas of patent reform.”
However, Apple does not appear to have given up on all of its Android-related litigations. Its pending lawsuits against Samsung have not been settled or dismissed.
