Apple (Finally) Releases WatchOS 2

Apple has released WatchOS 2, the updated version of the operating system for the Apple Watch. The company had originally scheduled the release for September 16, but it postponed the event for five days because it needed to fix some bugs at the last minute.

New features in WatchOS 2 include a Digital Crown control system, Taptic Engine, heart rate sensor and other changes which should allow mobile development firms to create better, faster apps.

Beginning September 25, Apple will sell Apple Watches through T-Mobile and Sprint; in the past, the wearables have been available only through Apple Stores and a few select retailers.
