Apple has confirmed its purchase of Perceptio, a startup that makes artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The companies did not disclose the purchase price.
Perceptio specializes in running image-classification systems on smartphones without requiring a lot of external data.
Apple also recently bought another AI startup with technology that makes digital assistants capable of having longer conversations.
