App Users Who Make One In-App Purchase 6X More Likely to Make Another

Mobile game analytics provider SOOMLA has released its “Q1 2016 Mobile Gaming Insights” report, which finds that players who have made one in-app purchase are six times more likely to make a purchase in another game. Those who make an in-app purchase within 24 hours of downloading a game are nine times more likely to make a purchase in another game.

Other key findings included the following:

  • More than 40 percent of those who paid $25 or more in one game said they would likely make a purchase in another game.
  • 71 percent of in-game purchases are single-use goods, but 65 percent of revenue from in-game purchases comes from lifetime goods.
  • Daily active users increase up to 33 percent on weekends.
