There’s a bug in Android’s text messaging application that sends text messages to the wrong recipient, and it’s been there for at least six months.
The bug was reported way back in June 2010, and it’s still not fixed. Android users aren’t happy.
“I’d like an explanation as to how you justify that this bug has not already been fixed,” phishinphree commented on the bug. “I had text messages being sent to wrong recipients ever since the release of the g1. Sure, it doesn’t happen all the time but that isn’t any excuse.”
Emailstu said, “C’mon Google. This is completely amateur!”
Digitizor.com reported on Saturday that the bug was flagged medium priority, but now Google’s set it to critical.
