Last year, mobile development tool vendor Sencha released a 2011 wish list for HTML5, and four of their top wishes were fulfilled. This year, they’ve updated the list with high hopes that Web developers will see some of these wishes granted for 2012. Their top ten HTML5 wishes for 2012 include the following:

  1. Better Mobile Browser Debugging
  2. Background Services
  3. Contacts API
  4. Right-Sizing Images
  5. IndexedDB
  6. WebGL Everywhere
  7. Web Intents: Standardization, Support
  8. Better Offline Caching
  9. HTML5 Audio Quality
  10. HTML5 Media Implementations
