Amazon has unveiled dozens of new Alexa devices and new developer tools to support Alexa skills on those devices. For developers, the most significant announcement is likely the Alexa Presentation Language (APL). Currently available as a preview, the languages is designed to support voice interactions supplemented by graphics, images and video.
The company also released the Alexa Smart Screen and TV Device SDK, as well as the Smart Screen Dev Kit, which aims to help developers create new hardware devices that use Alexa.
In addition, Amazon updated the Smart Home Skill API, and it launched the Alexa Skills Kit Music Skill API.
