Amazon wants more developers to use its storage service for their apps. To that end, it has released a new API for Cloud Drive that will make it easier for mobile development firms to integrate the cloud computing service in their code. Using Cloud Drive offers several benefits, such as allowing users to store lots of files without using up the storage on their devices and allowing users to access files from multiple devices.
Several apps, many of them consumer apps related to photography, are already using the API. They include OfficeSuite, Perfectly Clear, FreePrints, Photo Gifts by MailPix, ScanCafe, FileThis, CloudHQ, File Commander, Jumptuit, Secrata, and Wappwolf.
