Beginning in 2019, new cars from Korean automakers Kia and Hyundai will feature voice assistants with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. The companies expect to have all of their vehicles “connected” by 2025.
The initial AI assistant will be based on SoundHound’s Houndify. It will offer remote control capabilities, as well as offering proactive suggestions. The companies plan to show off the technology at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next month.
