For the past year, kernel updates have been kind of boring, but that may be about to change.
Last week at LinuxCon, Linux Weekly News editor Jon Corbet delivered The Kernel Report. He said that the past year has been one of “consolidation and completion.”
Linux.com’s Brian Proffitt reports that Corbet doesn’t expect that to continue. He said that a lot of work is needed for embedded systems, and that AppArmor will be included in the kernel, as well as anti-malware hooks.
Corbet sees a lot of innovation coming, Proffitt said.
