Online currency pioneer Bitcoin and the lesser-known Litecoin are teaming up to offer a $10,000 bug bounty. The pair are asking developers for help figuring out what is causing data corruption issues on Macs. The problem appears to be related to a LevelDB key store database.
To be eligible for the bounty, developers need to provide documentation on why the problem happens, instructions on how to reproduce it and a fix that can be uploaded to GitHub. The bounty will be paid in Bitcoin and Litecoin.
