The Print Preview OCX is an ActiveX control that does exactly what it says
it does. It has a multitude of options that allow you to customise the look in a number of
ways.

The sample application displays basically what Print Preview can do. It
shows how all the methods work and what they do.

As I mentioned earlier, it has a wealth of options, including previewing text, graphics in several common formats and even create reports based on a database. Paragraph styles can be created, then set to text, or you can use the predefined styles. In each style, you can set, font (name, size, bold, italic, strike-through and underline), alignment and colour, which makes standardising your documents very easy.

In looks, the preview looks very similar to an MS Office Print Preview,
but it is an OCX, so you can use it in any of your developments. It even includes a zoom
feature, so you can view 4 pages, right up to 200%. However at 200%, the whole thing
starts becoming quite blocky. If your target user in not English, then you can change the
language to French, German, Spanish, Dutch or Italian. This can be altered at run time, so
you only need one Print Preview control. This is lucky, because the control uses a lot of
memory when running.

Once you have sent the data to the Print Preview control, you can export it and save the data. You can save it as plain text, HTML, or in its own proprietary ‘structured’ format. The user also has the option to print it.

All round this is a great product, with a huge potential to improve other products. It has so many options that you are sure to find what you need, and more. It is well worth a
look.

Editor Note: Print Preview only costs $20!!!
