BANGALORE, INDIA — (INTERNET WIRE) — 01/10/2002 — Jataayu Software
announces the release of the beta version of its WAP (Wireless Application
Protocol) 2.0 Developer toolkit. The toolkit contains a WAP 2.0-compatible
gateway, browser, a development environment and sample programs and is
available at for free download. WAP Forum, an
international forum on Wireless Technologies, announced WAP 2.0
specifications in August this year. Jataayu achieved the distinction
of being the first company in the world to have WAP 2.0-based gateway
and browsers in October 2001.

“WAP 2.0 is a significant improvement over its predecessor WAP 1.2, and
is expected to firmly establish the mobile Internet industry created by
the WAP 1.x specification,” said Mahesh Jain, CEO of Jataayu Software. “Jataayu, as one of the early adopters of WAP2, now leads the way by providing the tools needed by the wireless developer community to start delivering innovative applications and services based on WAP2.”
