Yahoo has confirmed the rumors that it will purchase mobile app analytics firm Flurry. The companies did not disclose the purchase price, but unnamed sources tell TechCrunch that it was between $200 million and $300 million.

Flurry is one of the more prominent analytics firms in the mobile development industry with more than 170,000 developers using its services. The company says, “Since the launch of the smartphone, Flurry has helped grow the app economy into a $100+ billion industry.”

Analysts say the acquisition fits in well with Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer’s “mobile first” strategy.
