WSO2 Releases Microservices Framework for Java

Middleware vendor WSO2 has released a new Microservices Framework for Java (MS4J) that it says will help developers build Java-based microservices that support container deployment. Microservices is an application architecture that relies on small independent processes that communicate with each other through APIs.

“This product was born to give our customers a very lightweight framework for developing microservices in Java,” said Isabelle Mauny, vice president of product management at WSO2. “The key goal here is if you look at what a microservices architecture mandates, it will include an application with a set of the right services with the right scope, and each of those services will execute individually in its own little world, which is probably a container. That’s the trend and one of the most advocated patterns for deploying and managing microservices.”

MS4J is available under an open source license.
