Windows 8 Might Support Flash After All

Several tech-related websites are reporting that, despite earlier Microsoft assertions to the contrary, Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 will include an integrated Flash player, and even the Metro-style interface will support Flash on selected sites. Several leaked screenshots lend credence to the rumors.

Although the Metro-style Windows 8 browser won't support plug-ins, IE will include integrated support for Flash, so users won't need a plug-in to view Flash animations and video. However, Flash support on the Metro interface will be limited to whitelisted sites, including Hulu, YouTube, Vimeo, CNN, the BBC, and Wired, Facebook, Zynga and other very popular websites.

Unnamed sources say that Windows RT, the version of Windows 8 for ARM-based tablets, will also support Flash.
