The latest operating system market share numbers from NetMarketShare show little change from the previous month. In October, Windows 10 picked up only a handful of new users, growing its marketing share from 6.63 percent to 7.94 percent. And very few of those new users transitioned from Windows 8 or 8.1, which only saw market share decline by .10 percent.

Windows 7 remains the most popular operating system by a wide margin, accounting for 55.71 percent of the market.
