The newest startup targeting the development industry is Runnable, a website that hopes to become the “YouTube of Code.” Runnable aggregates APIs and code snippets, making them easy to search and view. It also allows developers to edit and run code right from the site.
The service launched Thursday with about 1,000 pieces of code in PHP, Node.js, Python, JavaScript, ASP.NET and Ruby on Rails. The founders except to increase the number of code snippets by about ten times over the next few months, and they also plan to add some more community-focused features.
