Despite Apple’s intervention, patent holding company Lodsys is continuing to target developers who create iOS apps. On May 9, it filed new lawsuits against five mobile development firms: Activision, Capcom, Popcap (makers of Bejeweled), TeamLava and Halfbrick (makers of Fruit Ninja).

The filings claim the defendants infringed on patents 7,620,565 and 7,222,078 but do not provide a lot of details.

Last month, Lodsys sued Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Dow Jones (maker of the Wall Street Journal app), Evernote and Glu Mobile. It also reiterated its claim that Apple’s patent license “does not extend to independent App Developers.”
