Oracle has filed another appeal in its long-running lawsuit against Google concerning Android’s use of Java APIs. Last year, a jury concluded that the mobile development platform did not violate Oracle’s copyright on Java. But now Oracle is alleging that the jury would not have reached that verdict if it had been allowed to show how Android was taking away Java market share in wearables, TVs and cars. In addition, while Google said at trial that Android was not for PCs, it released a PC version before the trial was concluded, something Oracle was not allowed to mention.

This is the third time the case has gone before an appellate court. The original complaint was filed in 2010.
