Mozilla has demoed a new browser it calls Firefox Reality. It’s a browser for use in mixed reality headsets, and while it isn’t ready for production use yet, it signals Mozilla’s intentions to be involved in leading mixed reality technology. “This is the first step in our long-term plan to deliver a totally new experience on an exciting new platform,” said a Mozilla blog post.
TechCrunch noted, “The big deal here is that Mozilla is committed to running this cross-platform and open source, which should be a welcome change for a platform where every headset maker has its own way to access traditional web content.”
