Microsoft Unveils More Azure IoT Tools

At the Hannover Messe industrial technology conference in Germany, Microsoft has launched beta previews of two new Internet of Things (IoT) tools that run on its Azure cloud computing platform: the Azure IoT Hub device management tool and the Azure IoT Gateway Software Development Kit (SDK).

"Our highly requested Azure IoT Hub device management provides a standards-based approach for administrators to maintain fine-grained control over the enrollment, configuration, update and monitoring of millions of devices," said Sam George, director of Microsoft Azure IoT.

In addition, Microsoft also announced that its Azure IoT Suite is now available in its Germany-based cloud computing data center and that 94 products from 54 partners have been certified through its Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT program.
