Microsoft has released an open source data set it calls MS MARCO, which is short for Microsoft Machine Reading Comprehension. The data, which comes from real queries on the Bing search engine, includes 100,000 questions and answers that developers can use to train artificial intelligence (AI) systems to speak more like humans.

The software giant also recently made couple of other AI-related announcements. Microsoft Ventures has a new fund for AI startups, and Microsoft said plans to release a competitor for Amazon Echo sometime next year.
