Microsoft has begun releasing some details about this year's Build developer conference. The event will take place Oct. 30 through Nov. 2 at Microsoft's Redmond, Wash., headquarters. Since the conference will begin right after the release of Windows 8, it's a good guess that the new operating system will figure heavily in the sessions. However, Microsoft's Tim O’Brien promises, “In addition to Windows 8, we will have lots of other stuff to talk about, too: Windows Azure, Windows Phone 8, Windows Server 2012, Visual Studio 2012, and much more.”

Microsoft will begin accepting registrations for the event on August 8.
