The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models officially go on sale Friday, but today Apple issued a statement which warns that some models, including the popular jet black color, sold out during the online pre-order period.
The company says, “Beginning Friday, limited quantities of iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, and black will be available for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers. Availability at partner locations for all finishes may vary, and we recommend checking directly with them.”
The good news for the mobile development industry is that the iPhone 7 appears to be a hit, even without a headphone jack. The bad news is that if you wanted an iPhone 7 Plus or a jet black iPhone 7, you’ll have to wait.
