A little over a month ago, Linux creator Linus Torvalds announced he would be taking some time off to work on his “unprofessional and uncalled for” behavior. Now that short hiatus is over.

Torvalds met with other kernel developers at the Open Source Summit Europe. Also Greg Kroah-Hartman, who temporarily handled Torvalds’ code maintenance duties, recently wrote, “Linus, I’m handing the kernel tree back to you. You can have the joy of dealing with the merge window :).”

As ZDNet noted, “Whether he’ll be a kinder and gentler Torvalds remains to be seen.”
