Is React Native in Trouble?

From the outside, Facebook's React Native mobile development framework appears to be on the decline. The tool, which allows developers to build native mobile apps using JavaScript, was hailed as the answer to mobile development woes just a few years ago. However, companies like Airbnb and Udacity have publicly stated that they are no longer using the framework. Game chat app Discord says React Native has problems, but it will stick with the technology for now, and Walmart is trying to solve the framework's problems with another open source project called Electrode Native.

Facebook says that is rearchitecting React Native. It plans to change the threading model, add async rendering and simplify the bridge for better performance.
