iOS Devs Code More, Earn More Than Android Devs

A new Evans Data mobile development survey points out some significant differences among the various platforms. For example, when asked which stage of development takes the most time, the number one answer for iOS developers was coding (30.7 percent), while Android developers said testing/debugging (36.1 percent) and Windows Phone developers said design (30.2). Experts say fragmentation is to blame for the differences.

Making matters worse for Android developers is the fact most make between $101 and $200 per month per app, while iOS developers are bringing in $500 to $1,000 per month per app. Still, given Android's dominance, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, it continues to attract a lot of developers.
