Intel Launches INDE Development Tools

  • By Developer.com Staff

Intel has announced the availability of a new suite of cross-platform development tools called INDE. Short for "Integrated Native Development Environment," INDE offers support for C++ and Java.

Intel's Jeff McVeigh explained that today's diversity of operating systems, architectures and IDEs can make things complicated for developers. INDE attempts to cut through that clutter by providing "the full development code flow from setup, to creation, to compilation, to debug and analysis and deployment for those performance-oriented cross-platform applications," he said. Notably, the new tools support ARM devices as well as Intel devices, and they integrate with Visual Studio, Eclipse and Android Developer Studio.

INDE comes in three different versions: a free version, a $299 Pro Version and a $799 Ultimate Version.
