This month, Apple has been highlighting games from independent developers in the App Store. What appeared to be a short-term promotion was set to wrap up today, but now the company has announced that it will have a permanent hub for indie games within the App Store.
The change could be a boon for small, self-funded mobile development firms. Several apps featured in the indie game promotion, including Botnicula, Surgeon Simulator and Prune, are now near the top of the iOS paid apps chart.
