Google has released Google Play services 4.4, and the update includes a number of improvements for Android developers. For the first time, the company is including the ability to imbed Street View images into the Google Maps Android API. In addition, it added some new capabilities to the Indoor Maps feature.

The company has also added a new feature to the Location API that can recognize whether a device user is running or walking.

And the company has made a couple of changes which should enable more purchases. It has new Mobile Ad APIs that allow purchases when users click on an ad, and it has simplified the existing Instant Buy API.
