Developers who have created apps for Google’s cloud computing services got a piece of welcome news today. The company has decided to integrate third-party apps more tightly into Google Drive. For example, when a user clicks the “Create” menu, he or she will not only see Google apps like Documents and Spreadsheet, but also third-party choices like “draw.io Diagram” and “Floorplanner.”

Experts say the change will likely be appreciated by both end users and developers.
