Google App Engine has added a new firewall feature. The capability will allow developers who use the platform as a service to restrict access to their applications based on users’ IP addresses. In the past, App Engine offered denial of service protection that allows some IP address blocking, but Google is encouraging users to take advantage of the new firewall’s more advanced capabilities.
