At the recent I/O conference, Googlers Ibrahim Elbouchikhi and Bob Meese offered some advice on how to get to the top lists in Google Play. Some mobile development firms “get a lot of sales [just] from being on the top sellers list,” they said.
Their tips included the following:
- Tablets pull in 70% more revenue than smartphones.
- Employ in-app purchasing systems.
- Subscriptions work.
- Better ratings means more revenue.
- Go global.
