Firefox Beats Microsoft Browsers, But Chrome Dominates

According to the latest data from StatCounter, Firefox has overtaken both of Microsoft’s Web browsers—Internet Explorer and Edge—in market share for the first time ever. In April, Firefox had 15.6 percent of desktop Web traffic, while Internet Explorer and Edge together had 15.5 percent.

However, Google’s Chrome maintains its overall lead by a significant margin. Last month, it had more than a 60 percent share of the desktop market. Chrome also had the lead in mobile, with about a third of the market, followed by the UC Browser, Safari, Opera and the standard Android browser.
