The Eclipse Foundation has released the annual set up of updates for its open source IDE. This year’s release train, codenamed Oxygen, includes 83 projects and has more than 71 million lines of code. Key new features in the train include beta support for Java 9, improved security for Docker Tools, support for PHP 7.1, Eclipse Sirius 5.0 modeling tools and Eclipse EGit 4.8.0.

The next Eclipse release train, scheduled for release in June 2018, is codenamed Neon.
