Oracle Says JavaFX to be Open Sourced

At the JavaOne conference, Oracle said that all JavaFX controls available in version 2.0 will be open sourced.

JavaFX is a platform for Rich Internet Application development. Version 2.0 is scheduled for release in the third quarter 2011, which open source license to be used has not yet been announced.

JavaFX Script has been put on hold and will be discontinued. Oracle said that the Java API will be used instead of JavaFX Script.
