Google Play has launched a program that could help some mobile development firms attract more users and downloads. The store has added a new “Android Excellence” section that features apps and games hand-picked by company staff. According to Google, the selected apps feature “great design, technical performance, localization, and device optimization.”
The Android Excellence list will refresh quarterly. Current titles in the catalog include Citymapper, Drivvo, Evernote, Kitchen Stories, Memrise, Pocket, Vivino, Golf Clash, Hitman GO, Pictionary, PAC-MAN 56 – Endless Maze, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and many others.
