IntelliJ IDEA for AndroidThe IntelliJ IDEA website describes IntelliJ IDEA as a “capable and ergonomic IDE for JVM.” It has numerous features for Android development and provides the basis for Android Studio. This IDE has also won numerous awards, and the PYPL index ranks it as the sixth most popular, right behind NetBeans. It comes in both a free, open source Community edition and a paid Ultimate edition.
